The University of Georgia seeks a qualified candidate to fill the position of Assistant Coach for Track and Field. Must have BA/BS degree, Masters preferred. Successful coaching experience, ability to recruit, coach male and female athletes, expertise in pole vault, jumps, decathlon, heptathlon as well as knowledge in all areas of track and field. Candidate must have demonstrated success in recruiting and managing diverse student-athletes including international, national and regional students. Other duties include meet management, team travel, promotions, publicity, etc. Must be committed to performing within NCAA, SEC and University of Georgia regulations and policies. Must be willing to work nights and weekends. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Send letter of application, resume, and three references with phone numbers to: Wayne Norton, Head Coach of Track & Field, University of Georgia Athletic Association, P.O. Box 1472, Athens, GA 30603. Clemson has selected a new coach for the 2006-2007 season but they won't release anything to us (the athletes)... There has been a name thrown around though. I guess we will have to wait and see........
