Pole vault comparisons
I am wondering what everyone has heard polevaulting compared to, or what they compare it to them selves.
If you cant do it right , do if 10000 more times till you can

After the last winter olympics, just over four years ago, the woman who won the skeleton bob (can't remember the name, sorry) for Britain said she was going to retire and take up pole vault, her quote went something like this:
"they are both very similar, you run as fast as you can and then do something crazy at the end"
She didnt stick with it very long after (surprisingly) she realised that there were a few subtle differences between the two.

Aim high, then at least if you miss you won't shoot yourself in the foot.
