New here, couple of questions

Unread postby trevor51590 » Mon Apr 04, 2005 5:57 pm

:o Yea yea yea lol. Well im a freshman and today I just started jumping for the first time today in my life. Can i say  ? Absolutely. I like the sport and I like pole vaulting. Like i said, i did it for the first time in my life today, and i noticed some of these people were very experienced. Well i did clear 6 ft and almost 7 foot just to try. Nevertheless, i was wondering what you guys would recommend to start doing to try to improve?

Thanks a bunch-
trevor

Lots of practice and repetition. It takes time to get better, so if it seems to be progressing slowly, don't get discouraged. If you get better quickly, be very thankful and realize that there will be slow improvement at times. Vault from a short run a lot. Enjoy the journey, not just the results. Have fun and good luck!

2 and 3 left vaults can do only good for you. Thye are great to establish form and the proper technique!

Thanks a lot! I will surely keep at it. Thanks for all of your advice. What do you recommend as a good site for drills?
