Billy Olson Video?

I'm 99% sure that Billy had a year at Baylor. I remember that was the original plan. Maybe he only stayed a year or a semester but I'm pretty sure he started there. Bubba

I guess my memory is better than expected. I got this from an article I Googled - link to entire article below. Bubba

"When I came to ACU, I really wanted Billy, but he wanted to go to Baylor. It's a fine school, but I didn't really consider it the best place for pole vaulting. But Billy went there and it turned out he didn't like it very much.

"He called me at mid-term and we were able to get him into school here. Then he told me about Frank Estes dropping out at UT, and he and Billy were good friends so we got another good vaulter in Estes.''

Just found this photo I took in Abilene the summer after Billy (from Baylor) and Frank (from Texas) got to ACU. They are from Abilene. Bubba
