Jarred....you really need to stop whining. I understand how pissed you are that texas tech sucks soooo bad, but please, dont take it out on us. Here is my take on coach hood jr. Coach Hood made me the athlete I am. He got me fast, strong, and gave me some good insight. However, I felt that he never expanded his horizons. While my knowledge base grew, and my understanding of the event grew, his remained the same. As a coach or an athlete, you can never settle. You must always be looking for something that can improve your vault. You guys need to look at the event as a physics equation. Big pole, big bend does not equal big jump. And big bottom arm does nothing but add time to your jump. Move through takeoff, timeup pole=big jump no matter what. The less time you spend on the pole the higher you will jump. I am sure very few people understand this, but it is true. Jarred, you are still my b****....I will see you at the vault party. tell Buster I said to eat s***.
CHAMPION
CHAMPION
Retain faith that you will prevail in the end, regardless of the difficulties.

just curious, but what is your P.R., and where was it, and what were the conditions?
I'll gladly answer your question Jared: my pr is 4.60, first jumped in Abilene into a deep box with a cross-tail from the left side on a pole I could never plant into a regulation box (including the one at the University of Texas at Austin, despite the fast runway) thus proving my point - deep boxes and lots of tape on the pegs=a pr for Kris that he couldn't make under regulation conditions.
