I'm curious to know about other Father/Son vaulters and whether they jumped at the same high school. Also, what is the best Father/Son vaults in the same season or meet?
My son Chase Shealy broke my old high school record of 13' 6" from 1978

(way back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth) as a sophomore at 15' 1" and eventually up to 17' 1" this year.
In the same season,... I would guess last year was our best Father/Son year with me at 12' and him at 16' 8". And I might add no practice for me, I just entered a couple of meets. The legs just don't last near as long when you are out of shape. LOL
