Florida had two guys this year over 17 feet

Miami had one 16 footer this year, and 2 guys last year go 17.

Doesn't Bill Faulk coach at one of those. I went to his pv camp last summer in Rhode Island college.

Faulk only coaches the men at Miami. The women are coached by jumps specialist Jim VanHootengem.

Those three programs are all national contenders. In all likelyhood you would have to be in the top 10 high school vaulters in the nation to get much $$$ there.

The UF womens vaulters are coached by Chris lewenburg sp? He jumped 18? believe and is european. They have about seven girls on the team a year and this year had 3 over 13. The FSU vaulter are combined have 1 coach they seem to be a little more leanient with thier $ and have 1 girl jumping 14 but the rest ? It seems with todays female vaulter a regional qualifier is needed for $ I beleve it was around 12 ft this year. Best of luck in your search.

Ah hem, although I am a UGA vaulter, I do know a lot about UF. I've got several friends on the team, and I know several vaulters from meets the past two years. From what I've learned, UF vaulters do not get any money. This according to a UF vaulter, at least girls. Megan Westfall, who jumped 13'7 was not on any scholarship, and none of the current vaulters to my knowledge have money, although I could be wrong. As for general scholarship money, it simply depends on the school. Schools that have great vault programs like UGA, UF, ARK, it is difficult to get money. On, the other hand, I know of a 10 or 10'6 vaulter who received money from Old Miss. YOu just gotta look around and ask questions. Get your info out to coaches is the best way. If you haven't completed your junior year in high school, they cannot contact you, you have to make the initiative and they can only respond a certain # of times. Good luck.

All the UF girls I can think of are in-state, so Bright Futures is probably already paying for their education.
