Tall Plant

Unread postby fastpich19 » Thu Mar 29, 2007 7:54 pm

I am having trouble on getting a tall plant and getting the "C" position. When ever I do a full vault, my bottom arm breaks and is close to my body and my top arm is also not straight. I end up barely bending the pole and landing on the right front side of the mat. Is there any drills I can do to perfect the "C" position. I am using a 13', 150 Spirit pole. I hold at 11'3". I have been vaulting for 1 and 1/2 years, and I am 16 years old. I think once I fix this problem I will see a huge increase in my height.

Slide Box plants and sand plants. Focus on a straight above your head take-off with the arms and jumping before the tips hits the box or sand. Incrementally work your way up the pole on the sand pit plants. Hold at the top of the pole for the slide box drills.

"Is there any drills I can do to perfect the "C" position."

Stop even thinking about a C position and concentrate on learning to take off .
