Disclaimer: I don't do it perfect myself, as I know that I have a late plant sometimes as well and have not even come close to having a free takeoff from my full approach. That is just what I saw in the video when i paused it...

I may have been a little under from that short run, we werent really going for a perfect free take off at that point. But i do believe my top arm is fully extended by the time i plant. I wish i had some better video, and maybe that one was a bad example. I can see how you would see that from such bad video quality, but i do believe my take off and hand position and the best part of my jump (not to say they are perfect, lol).

Wus up?
My coach has told me that, if you're right handed, that when you put the pole into the box and push your arms up like your take off position your left foot should be under your top hand(right). If left handed vise-versa. to make sure that you're in the right position get your coach to take the pole away when you are in your take off stance(On your toes) if you stay balanced then your placement is good. If you fall you need to adjust your foot. Hope this helps.
I'm gonna come at you like a spider-monkey!
