First Meet!

Unread postby Tim McMichael » Sun Dec 17, 2006 10:23 am

I did my first indoor meet of the season (and first meet that I cared anything about period in about 11 years) yesterday, and it was a blast! Didn’t hurt anything. Made 14’ with only one miss, then blew out my 14’ 180. Woo Hoo! :D

I’ll have to admit, it felt really strange to be lugging around a tube full of poles again. I definitely heard that little voice saying “You’re too old for this sort of thing.â€Â

Everything held up great physically. More importantly, no haggard ghosts of abilities past came out of my pole bag to haunt me. I was focused on the present moment and had an absolute blast.
