What would you do??
i am in a kind of weird situation right now where i am not on my schools team because of an injury that they thought that i had. now i got more tests that showed that i am fine. now after getting these results i have found that the coaches really dont want to talk to me and i am really kind of confused on what i should be doing. i am planning right now on just kind of waiting to see and start my own training in about a week if i hear nothing or i am told that i cant come back. i am just curious as to what anyone else would do in my situation?? maybe some ideas on what i can do about jumping cause i cant jump with the team if i am not on it
If you cant do it right , do if 10000 more times till you can

Schools can be tricky if they think you are an injury liability because they don't want to have to pay for it if you get hurt. There is also the fact that they want to keep their guys' numbers down because of Title IX.
One option is to see if they will take you on as a manager. You won't get to train with them, but you could still see what they are doing in the workouts and learn a lot.
I would also check with Chris and see if he is going to be starting a club for local high schoolers or whatever. If he was, maybe you could jump with them.
I couldn't make the team at my first college. I ended up doing nothing my first year, and driving 90 minutes each way to vault my second year. After that I began a long journey of transferring schools.

yeah i should deffinetly check and see if he is making a club at all. it kinda sucks though cause i didnt even get a chance to jump. i would have understood if i had jumped once already andit was just a cut but we hadnt even jumped and that is what i do so how would it have been a cut. i really just got kicked off cause of liability.

If i was you, I’m not... But if I was, I would do several things… If you really want to vault for your team, then work your butt off and show those coaches that you deserve to be there, and show that your are willing to do the training (I didn’t catch if this is University of HS).
2ndly find a club and start to train on your own develop your vault and athleticism. The vault can be dangerous if coaches are not involved in training, the more you train a) the better you become b) the better you can understand the vault possibly reducing injuries/accidents.
3rdly stay on those coaches to get things done quickly, if they don’t want to talk to you or seems like they are avoiding the topic, then be mature about it, and discuss it with them, phone calls emails, what ever it takes to get that dialog to happen, because if this conversation takes too long to happen, then at some point, the fact that you didn’t do the training will become a legitimate reason to get rid of you and the coaches wont have to give a second though about the vault being unsafe or you being a liability….
I’m not you, but if I was that is what I would do... hope that helps

Hey chris
I don't think you should bring the subject up anymore with those coaches. You did your part. You got results saying that your fine and not injured by more than one doctor so "You proved your not a liabilty to the school". You say that you tried to talk with them about your results? If so and they are giving you the cold shoulder, then I personally would do this. You did the right thing by presenting the proof that your not injured. Therefore, if they did not say "after you presented the new results to them" that you could not jump, then go ahead and jump. Just keep to yourself and "Be low key about it" until everything blows over and becomes old news. I hate to say, that is the only thing you can do about it. You don't want to open a can a worms. You don't want to keep bringing the subject up. Why? Because know one in power wants to be put in their place. Basically by bringing the issue up to the coaches, It shows that they were wrong "which they don't want to hear" and presents a threat to them. Basically you just want to jump for the team so just stay away from bringing the issue up. Go to practice and weasle your way into the practice sence and hope they let this blow over. Thats the best thing for ya. Good luck chris.

well i ended up getting a hold of one of the coaches and i was told that i could not be on the team but this time the reasoning was that i was not jumping high enough. so now i am officaly unattached for the time being. so now all i have to do is to prove them all they made a mistake in not keeping me. i have been keeping in shape lifting and running everyday. so i am not worried about it all i am doing now is searching for a place to jump and train in thats kind of a sense. if there is anything near east lansing i would love to know about it otherwise i am gunna start jumping in dec when i am on winter break

When you get cut from a team, you can't just keep showing up for practice. It doesn't work like that.
