Gary Hunter Video From Charlotte

Unread postby Bubba PV » Fri Aug 11, 2006 7:49 pm

Hey Guys & Gals. I always put up a little update of my performances for family and friends but on my Charlotte page I put a link to M50, Gary Hunter's 13', 14' and 15' 1" jumps at Nationals. Great guy and unbelievable talent. He's like Bubka in his prime - we're just shooting for 2nd. Video contributed by "Master" and WR M60, the first and only 60 year old to make 13', my buddy, John Altendorf. Enjoy!! Bubba

Those M50 guys put on a good show. I was pleased to have been there.

In case anyone is wondering why there are a few green pads at the back of the pit (and left side) there was a this little matter of vertical "cliff" varying from about 4 to 10 feet from right to left. That guy you see standing by the fence on the right was at the only spot where the ground was level with the pit. The drop off started rather rapidly as you moved toward the left.
We just felt a little safer with the extra stuff in place back there.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet y'all. Was busy hydrating on the other side of the track.
