Age 47 and live in central Illinois. I vault on a 13'9-185 Altius and grip about 13'3. I have a current PR of 12'6. I am guessing I run the 100 in the 13.5 range. I haven't been timed for a long time but I feel fast. I try not to run with anybody though cause it hurts my ego. My 13 year old son is starting to put the hurt on me. If you're ever in the Beardstown area give me a call. I just put a new pit and runway out at my family farm and I'll vault until the snow flies.

I'm 49. I weigh around 162-166 right now. I'm jumping on a range of poles that are basically a 13-165, 14-150, and 14-155 (Pacer-FX....one's a Carbon Mystic). I only grip at about 12' or sometimes I'll venture up to 12'4". I'll also admit that, because I grip so low, I've chopped off the top ends of most of my poles, so that they are 12'6" long (that way I don't have 1.5 extra feet sticking out the back). I guess that most of them are equivalent to 12'6-170, 12'6-175, or 12'6-180 (because of my low grip). In the summer of 2004 I made 11'2" (my post-1975 PR). I made 11'00 a couple of times during the 2006 indoor season.

I'm 60, nrsing a strained quad been off it for a week and the swelling had gone down and feel much better....ho long were you off yours??? what did you do to recover???

I'm thinking of Altius 13-0s ...for the price I can get a series I have couple of skypoles 13 60 and 65, bu my speed is inconsistant dure to a strain quad which I've been of from to heal... do you like the altius pole?? at 60 and my first year back since the last century I'm hoping to get my grip up to 12 plus I can do 11-6 grip now on a soft pole but I'm probably gonna blow thru when my approach becomes more powerful.... does altius make sky pole do you know???

Altius makes a 13'3 pole in most weights. I have a 4 pole series that I jump on.I have two 13'9-185 poles and two 14'3 poles for when I'm feeling froggy. Great poles for a great price. I really like the poles. Good luck with the injury and hope you're back to full speed soon.
