I tried the old 175 spirit for my last attempt in yesterdays meet and I got almost no bend, the thing is like a steel rod. This other kid who was vaulting had a new 14' 175 spirit and it was much more flexible, too bad he left and I never got to use his pole, so I think its just that this pole is too old and dry. I blew through the 165 again, but I think the new pole will be in tomorrow so that will soon be fixed. Here is how my meet went anyways:
1st in 2xhj
1st in 2xpv
1st in 4x100m relay
3rd in 2xtj
So I had 36 points and my team had 105 total. We won the meet 105-85. I used blocks for the first time in my life and led off for the first time ever for the 4x100 and apparently I come out of the blocks fast so Im the new lead off guy. We ran a 44.6, we should get the school record of 39.8 later this season. Even though I didnt improve with my pv I still have something to smile about.
Pole bending too much?

You never jumped on this other pole and you think it's softer?
