Best thing to do would be to be the bigger person and help them out. Maybe then they'll see that being a jerk never helps. Or not.

Congratulations on jumping despite not having anything close to the right poles! That takes some real guts!!

5.50 with a 15'2" grip... that's a 3 and a half foot pushoff. That is a REALLY impressive jump!

Perche:

(tied)1. Romain Mesnil (FRA) 5,50 m Russ Buller (USA) 5,50m (They told us that there was no jump off needed)
3. Vincent Favretto (FRA) 5,40

Russ Buller Jumped from 10 steps and was on a 15'6" 15.5 gripping 15'2".
Adam Keul jumped form 10 steps, but was on the same size pole as russ and blew through. He did clear a bar in warmups.
Bubba McLean got some 5m NOODLES and they were way too small. he ended up clearing 5 m, but has some good shots at 5.20, but the old pacers were way too small.
Jeremy Scott came from 8 steps and the poles he was using were way too small. He then attempted his last one on the 15'6" pole.

Word of advice, The french hate the Americans.!!! If anyone ever gets in the situation to where the french need our help in the world of vaulting, you guys know what to do!!!

5.50 on an unfamiliar pole is incredible gripping 15’2â€Â

Hey man, I ran 10.38 at LSU my sophomore year in the open 100, but that was it, you are faster. The fastest relay I had lead off was 38.79.
You can do everything!!!!!
Keep kicking butt man!!!

Didn't your poles get lost like two years ago when you went there too?
