Well.... I'm back.

Some of you may remember me posting briefly last year when I started training with George Rodriguez here in the DFW area before I ruptured a biceps tendon while warming up for my first meet.

Anyway, my doc had me refrain from "serious lifting/training" for 6 months from the surgery, and through a bit of laziness on my part, the six months turned into nine! However, I have been diligently working my a** off for the past several weeks and hope to jump at a local masters meet in mid-june.

The bug has bitten me again, and although I've put on about 10 pounds and lost a great deal of strength, I'm confident that I'll be back to my old shape in no time.

Good luck OldTexVaulter! Remember these words of wisdom my wife tells me when I'm whining about getting older......"It will only hurt until the pain goes away!" You should come jump in our street vault this summer. We had several Texas vaulters, young and old(er) last year.

Thanks for the kind words, and when is your street vault? I just might do that...

I'm headed over to George's Sunday club tomorrow, but don't know if I'll try to leave the ground just yet. I feel really fat right now, even though I'm only about 10 pounds overweight.

Lemme know.

Hey Bubba!! I'm still looking forward to seeing you as well, however this weekend isn't gonna work out for me to make a roadie down to Austin area.

I'm definitely planning to jump at the meet in Coppell on June 17 and am considering going to the Arkansas Street Vault on June 10... I just need to see what kind of shape I can get back into by that time.

Keep in touch!!
