15' Poles

Unread postby SublimeVaulter » Fri Apr 28, 2006 9:57 am

I am a high school vaulter with one week left before league finals and have blown through all of my school's 14 footers. If any one has any advice at all from transitioning to 15 foot poles, i desperatley need it, Thanks.

use the same grip and run and get on the 15' poles thats all there is to it. just DONT go to the top of the 15' pole till you can handle that grip. you need to work your grip up one hand hold at a time :P
If you cant do it right , do if 10000 more times till you can

what they said, and obviously remember that when you move up in length of the pole but not hand grip, with the same weight, its basically like moving from a 160 weight to a 170 or so, thats the only change. Remember that before you move your grip up, you want the pole to be stiff enough not to just unbend, you want it to EXPLODE! lol thats about it for my knowledge on moving up in length :-P
The greater the challenge, the more glorious the triumph
