Rock Climbing / Mountaineering

I know many Pole Vaulters are also into rock climbing and mountaineering. Last evening I had the chance to hear Aron Ralston speak. It was as part of a fund raiser for the Kate Svitek Foundation (Snowboarder lost 4 years ago in Bend, OR). Aron Ralston has a book out "Between a Rock and a Hard Place". If his book is anything like his presentation / talk last night it is a must read for anyone who is an "adventurerer". Very moving speaker, if you get the chance very worthwhile hearing Aron and his story.

rock climbing is so fun... i'm more of an artificial rock-wall/speed climber though.. it's so much fun and taxing on your arms. gives you a good "pump" lol.

i absoultely love rock climing! though ive only done it on those walls with the knobs and whenver theres rocks around to climb on a hike or somehting. someday id like to do the real thing
