I like the idea of opening at a higher bar. I think if you study the film of your vaulter's meets and determine a pattern as to which attempts seem to be his/her best with the adrenaline pumping, you can adjust their opening heights to peek at a PR bar. Not sure if I have many kids that are consistant enough to do that yet.

I think Scott Roth is probably going to pop a big one really soon or his coach wouldn't have started him there.
