Number one: I'd just rather watch them walk around.
Number two: It's not about respect. It's about the fact that everyone is so gung-ho when a woman breaks a world record. Or, the fact that the little bit of TV coverage the pole vault gets is mostly women. I think it's great that girls are vaulting, I think it saved the sport in High School's. But, the truth of the matter is: women still jump less than 16 feet, and that's the top. Most meets see a core of women jumping in the 13 feet range. To me, that's just not very exciting. Again, this is not a respect issue; I applaud women for being out there, I like the way they look, and I'm friends with a lot of the "elite" women. Just doesn't excite me to see them vault.

First of all I'd like to thank all of you who have given positive feedback about C'Mon, Neovault's first DVD.

I'd like to address the issue of what Steph's Dad referred to as "the almost miserly coverage of our vaulting women." First of all, I challenge you to show me a more complete source of coverage for the women's event, anywhere. We shot women's event at USA nationals last year from TWO angles, and showed ALL of the makes, and the best misses too. We listed the heights as well as ALL of the competitor’s names to get them the recognition they deserve. Our DVD has given more recognition to the female pole vaulter then anything else out there. We also have Stacy making great attempts the world record, again from two angles.

Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate the feedback, but in my defense the women got some quality exposure.

I spoke with Jill Starkey and Mel Mueller yesterday and they felt that Steve and I did an excellent job. So much that they want us to help them produce and all girls DVD in conjunction with vaultgirls.com. More on that later.

Thanks to Becca and Zack for the support. I’m glad you guys liked the DVD.

No defense is necessary Neo. The DVD rocks and I'm sorry you felt compelled to post a "rebuttal" to my comment.
Best PV coverage I've ever seen, men OR women!
Keep up the good work and I'll be watching for your next offering.

I knew this video was great when after watching it I was so pumped to vault, I almost jumped out of my skin. I have not felt like that about the vault in a long time!!!! It's kind of like the "Superman" sequence in Skysystems 1; but for the whole movie. Much applause Brownie. You are taking Pole Vault media to a whole new level.

I appreciate the reponse PVDad. We're going to continue to work hard at providing quality footage of both men and women whenever possible. Believe me if the female Clovis competition was stacked with as much talent as the men's was, the DVD would have been that much better. We'll be there this year, and hopefully so will the women.

And of course my man CPVault hookin up the props. Some may say my former training partner may be a little biased, but I believe you.

What?! Yeesh even the guys I know who have almost no respect for women's vaulting still like to watch hot chicks pole vault

I almost agree with Jon Heath. Girls in the vault make the scenery at a meet much more interesting (I hope that's what he's going for). But, the greatest day of his life? Wow!!!
