I filled up this weekend for $2.65 in Tucson, that was amazing, the more amazing part is that I paid $0.79 in 1998 in Edmond, OK currently 335% inflation, whats min. wage $15 per/hr???? oh wait its still the same $5 whatever an hour

the 50 mile round trip to work would mean lets see, I would have to get up an hour and a half earlier (4am), and would get home an hour and a half later (7pm) I would need a good bike~ $1000. Plus its starting to be kind of cool up here in no-mans-land (springerville, az elev. ~7000 ft). Avoiding the 1200+ employees who are all trying to get to work at the same time might not be that much fun on the two lane road. And the 240 mile ride to Tucson might take me a day or two.
plus side I would be in great biking shape, not sure how it would translate to pole vaulting.
I think I'll keep my saturn..
