looking good!!

but the coach in me must provide a few things to work on. simply some fine tuning.

Trail leg starts out real nice, but then draws in a bit. If you were to keep it longer you could finish inverting to a nice one oclock position

and 2. although its tough on such a short run. if you were to cross over a little sooner (right foot over left) then you could be squared up to the bar on your pike.

But looking awesome!! gonna be a big year for ya.

Pleased for your improvement but I may be the party pooper!
1. You are leaning forward three steps out - need to be 'tall'
2. Under on first take off -second one better
3. I do not see evidence of a real driving take off with full extension of leg and ankle -this is not easy to pick but it shows up later with your toe pointing forward as soon as the foot can be seen. The toe should be pointing down as the result of the powerful push off the ground. Remember the whole point of short approach jumping is to take away run up speed to force the athlete to UPSPRING at take off if they want to go anywhere. You must 'FINISH THE TAKE OFF' with a full extension of leg and ankle .
4. That action - done properly - automatically puts the leg into position for a whip into inversion. As a previous writer noted you are flexing the leg at the knee late in the swing which appears to be fairly pasive - certainly not a whip. This means you are missing energy input here as well as at TO.

These are all simple things which you can rapidly improve and with your determination to succeed I know you will. :D

Congrats Becca,

That qualifying jump looked to have at least 6" of clearance. It was far and away the best jump on the video.

What size pole were you on? Was it a 12 or a 12' 6"? Didn't look too tall, which is pretty sweet! Congrats on qualifying...see you in a few weeks at NAIA!
