Sweet Dreams...
day dreams
I rarely, if ever, have dreamt about pole vaulting as I lay sleeping. However, I day dream and visualize about pv most of the day. I sit there, zoning out imagining technique and form, running speed, graceful plants and perfect topsides. Any time that you can give yourself to think about doing something great in the polevault is good for your confidence and it gives you positive visualization "points". Wether while sleeping or awake.

hey souleman,
i'm older than you but can join these youngsters with "dream" stories.
i dreamed, in the 60's, i jumped 30'2" in the long jump... actually landing on the grass outside the back of the pit...softly of course…
interestingly carl lewis jumped that exact distance at UCLA in the 80's with a 1/2" foul!!!
dreams are great visualizations as long as they are the correct technical model and can be very motivational…
keep dreaming... hopefully your dreams will encourage you to set the standards high...and achieve greatness..

Nightmares? oh man MightMouse... that's no good. I also think of PV throughout the whole day lol.
Funny... when I fall asleep, I usually end up in a position with my right leg bent up on top of another pillow (like im taking off) and my left leg straight, my right arm (top arm) back above my head and my left arm (bottom arm) across my body, and sometimes propped up somehow so its up in the air lol. ANYONE ELSE DO THIS?

haha this is really weird timing, cuz lately i've been thinking about getting ready to vault and all that, and i've been having vaulting dreams. but the weirdest was for some reason there was a runway in a subdivision where some of my friends live. and a coach i knew was there. it was hilarious!

Well if you go to Reno you can probably hang out with Bubba....just a few letters off ;)
