Sweet Dreams...

Last night i had this sweet dream that i was Danny Ecker. It was when I (he) jumped 6 meters at Dortmund in 2001. It was incredible. But basically this just made me wonder, Do any of you have freakin sweet dreams like that? And what is your dream like?

funny you mention this, last night i had a dream that i was in a meet and my dad was there and at the weigh-in my dad started boo-ing the competitors, as if his heckling would have an effect over their weight...hmmm, guess he really wanted me to win

other than that, i dream about vaulting all the time(i seem to be way better in my dreams-which is unfortunate), or in dreams when im not vaulting, ill be in spikes or a uniform or something.

its wierd. i think about vaulting all the time as i lay in bed goig to sleep. like what i want to work on next practice, etc. Yet, ive never had any dreams about it that i remember, i wish i would though.


i have freakishly wierd dreams about like monkeys, or like saving a girl i like from a bad situation. im ust demented.

i actually dream about pv somewhat frequently... maybe once a month or so. its usually a small part of the dream, but sometimes it's an entire meet. its cool.

I had this dream once that I was jumping in the high school national championships. The only thing is that I did terrible and didn't clear 1 height. just terrible.

Why do you think I'm trying to do this again 35 years after I graduated from high school. I'm just hoping it will be as much fun again for real as it is in my dreams. One thing's for sure, I'm sure I'll hurt a lot more when I do it for real than it does in my dreams. Later.......Mike

Before i go to sleep i always think about Pole Vault...i think about how to fix my form or i think about a jump that i missed...urrrr...

After clearing 1ft less than my PR during our state qualifying meet in May, over the next 2 weeks I had trouble sleeping and everytime I'd try to fall asleep my last attempt would come into my mind and run thru like 20 times..... What a waste of a 3rd attempt
