Troy University has a great Athletic training program, and the track team is starting to develop some potential.

Florida State University also has a great AT program, but their track team is full of suck  . (Just kidding, their track program is one of the tops in the nation)

I think that the University of Florida has a AT program, have to check on that, but their track team is also one of the tops in the nation.

That is all i know so far, but I will post some more schools with a good t&f program and a good AT program as well.

Marquette has a great one, but they only accept 20 or so people per year. It is also pretty far from you.

University of Florida and University of Georgia both have very high caliber athletic training programs. I know at both of those schools that is is almost impossible to be an athletic trainer and compete in athletics for the school. Something to consider.

I go to Lindenwood University now and we also have an accredited program that is more flexible. Many of our trainers are also athletes.

at Cal . State Fullerton, in Southern CA has a great bachelors program. We are listed under the 2nd link from above.

I dont say it because i go there, but because it is becoming known as a great kinesiology school as well as athletic training.... TRUST ME--- with all the injuries i've been through , i've put them to the test :P

If you wanted to major in AT (like I do) what would be a general course schedule? What kind of degree is it?

It depends on the school that you go to but it will be a 4 year degree (either a Baachlor of Science BS or a Bachlor of arts BA)

Here is a link to the schools program that I am going through. It is a BS

Well the letters that would follow your name would be "ATC". You would take Kinesiology, Clinical Proficiencies in Athletic Training, Therapeutic Modalities,Athletic Training Evaluation, Exercise Testing/Prescription and EKG Nutrition, Exercise Performance, Nutritional Aspects of Health,
Principles of Strength Training and Conditioning

I think you get the picture...anything and everything to do with the human body.
