They are indeed all over, even in Canada. http://www.pitapit.com/ for a location near you.
They didn't have one in Athens, GA (University of Georgia), but they opened one in Gainesville, FL (University of Florida) after I moved away... and they have one in Bellingham, WA where I go a lot whenever I am home.
There's only one up here in MA, way west in Amherst. maybe if I ever go to amherst again with my gf to visit her friend (I don't have any friends there) I'll check it out.
Hell, there aren't any other pita pits in any part of the rest of New England (Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine)

after all the hype about pita pit, i looked for one in my area, and It's about 20 mins from where i go to school....none near home...but I'm in AZ for the summer, and me and a few of my friends were walking in downtown Flagstaff, and I saw the sign 'Pita Pit' ...it was like a sign from God...i was tres excited, and I definately got a gyro...and on the first day i'm allowed to eat solid food (wisdom teeth).
It was, in fact, excellent. And i think all you guys should get paid for the 'advertisement'
