Hey, im a 18 yr old vaulter and i am not the greatest vaulter, only doing about 12'6". i have a good run speed, take off, bar clearance, everything except oneee problem. My inability to go inverted, or UPSIDE DOWN. wat i do is i go from a semi good plant to a swing up, and i stop where my feet go above my hands a little, never getting my butt above my head or anything like that. i am good going over the bar, so i can always do handhold, but i want/neeeeeed to get upside down. if anybody has any tips on how to come out of this "bucket" type jumping and go upsidedown, it would be really appreciated. also, if pictures would help u understand wat i am talking about, just let me know.
Thanks alot...jay, i know ur going to laugh...lol :D

Most things with rocking back have to do with your plant. Plant real tall and get the pole moving and it should be easier for you to get your hips up.

Dude..... we get a new post like this once or twice a week (I'm sure even more sometimes).
Take a look at all the other posts on the site and you'll find a whole bunch of good advice. There are HUNDREDS of posts in response to this same question.
I'm not tryin to be a jerk - its just that we always get this same question over and over and OVER again.
In any event - good luck with the rest of your season! I hope you find the answers you're looking for.

I think I am going to make one definitive thread about it, and lock all other threads
