i try and scan the crowd before i'm on the runway, find any hot girls i can, and then as i run down the runway i find her, and lock eyes with her, and do what i like to call "the dance" with my eyes... this is usually the point at which i decide to run through... ;)

What gets you pumped up?

Hell yeah! I listened to those same songs religiously before I vaulted back in high school - really got me amped!

can never go wrong with MetallicA
Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill. - Muhammad Ali

does anyone get TOO pumped up? i'm a big fan of hardcorse stuff, but i find that i get too pumped up and try too hard...

i'll over run, plant too hard, maybe swing too early.... just get out of whack..

anyone else do that?

bob marley does it for me, maybe ben harper, tom petty.... good stuff

the clap is definitely an art. gotta get somebody experienced with it to start it. people always wanna start out too fast. they got it going like the kids on their last step and they haven't even started running. ahh....but anway, what gets me pumped up is just imagining myself clearing the bar over and over...plus some good tunes always help.
