Bar Clearance

Unread postby wakesurfvault » Mon Apr 11, 2005 9:20 pm

I can get my hips over the bar, but then my torso falls straight down onto the bar. What is wrong w/ my vault to cause this? Do I just need to hollow out my chest more? Have a better plant?? Any ideas? Thanks

I completely agree with mighty mouse! When you are coming down on the bar that means that you have a lack of penetration. The solution to this is to lower your grip and drive harder into the pole. You should try to practice with your standards all the way back to make sure you are getting good penetration. After you start blowing through and landing deep in the pit you can go ahead and raise your grip back up

Ok, thanks. So basically I just need more work on my plant & lower grip -> better penetration. That does make sence cause on my next lower pole I don't have that problem. Thanks
