Well we'vebeen without a coach for the past couple of months. Our soach, who produced NUMEROUS state champions, is no longer with us due to some stpid reasons that the chool has.

It's really frustrating to hear how many schools do not have coaches that work with the pole vaulters, esp. since it's probably the most technical and dangerous part of track....gosh!...

if you want the book "beginner to Bubka " BY Alan Launder. I have a whole box full that we brought back from Adelaide in March... email me.

Definitely a good read - ESPECIALLY in the absense of a goad coach that has a sound background in the vault. I dont agree with everything in the book, but its definitely worth your time and I can almost guarantee you'll learn quite a bit.

USMC - tell us what you do not agree with in Beginner to Bubka and perhaps we can work things out!!! ;)
