Shoe Vault

Unread postby USMC Vaulter » Thu Apr 07, 2005 3:53 pm

I know that some of you have posted about shoe vaults (launching a shoe with a pole vault pole)
So I figured I would show everyone who had never seen it.
This is of my younger brother and I messing around at my parents house - we're only using a 12' 135 and as you will see... it still launches a shoe pretty far. I have more where we used another person and larger poles but the files were really big.

Be patient with the first one cause I think its a decent sized file.

Shoe Vault

Over the telephone wires...

Over the house...

Enjoy :P

We had been doing runway/slide box/plant work all afternoon - so I figured it would be a fun change of pace :)

it'd be nice if they could be linked in WMA format...i don't have quicktime...finally managed to (mostly) eradicate it from my computer, don't want to do that again...

Sorry - I do everything on a Mac :( .
If anyone else on the site wants to convert them for me, I'd be more than happy to post the .wma files as well :)

Hahaha - Oh I know man, its all I own. Wouldnt give them up for the world.
I also think Quicktime is 10 times better than windows media - especially for frame by frame playback like we use/need when viewing polevault videos.
In my opinion.

Wow we definately tried to do it at practice and didn't have so much luck lol. Guess we'll have to try again. But we were dumb, we used my 12' 150.

I suggest that you do like the guys in the NeoVault DVD and launch the freshman's shoes out of the stadium. :P
