lately i've been slipping down the pole. my steps are fine. could the slipping be due to a low plant? one more question, what's a good drill to do to help slow down the back leg before the swing up?.

Like Becca said slipping usually comes from gripping to high, try moving ur top hand down @ 3-5 inches and see if it still happens( remember to compensate via your step)
Im not sure slow down is the right word, but i think I know what your getting at for your swing. Check out www.pvei.com's drill of the month section and look for the traffic cone and pool noodle drill. Hopefully that can help
Good Luck
