I belive so, but he doesn't hold the record there. In fact, when i had a meet there two years ago they didnt' even have a pole vault pit. What's up with that.

no, Tim Johnson's record is at our highschool field house!!!Oak Park, its like 15'6'', how lucky are we :dazed: really :deadrose:

it's actually 16'7" set by Tim Johnson in 1974 when he was a senior in high school. later that year he jump 17' gripping something like 14'6. Tim has returned to Bloom HS and has totally revamped their PV program. This year he has coached at least 1 HS girl over 12'. not sure what his guys are jumping, but they all focus on pole speed and huge pushoff.

The guys from Bloom HS he is coaching right now are jumping around 13'. There are a few other guys who come around and who are all jumping 14+.

duh!!! Rachello where have you been? Gamble always loves to point out that aspect of our field house, those three guys who have their names written on the closet wall, also included that Tim Johnson has our field house record...
