School Colors...

Unread postby USMC Vaulter » Sun Mar 20, 2005 12:33 pm

So I was reviewing a bunch of polevault videos and I noticed something...

While I think he's a great athlete and all of that - Tommy Skipper's singlet/speed suit thing that he wore last year - that bright yellow thing - was absolutely HIDEOUS.

My question is - what are the schools out there that you guys think have the ugliest colors/uniforms - and which schools have the sweetest colors/uniforms?

Thought we could use another fun topic :D

we had a meet last week against a team whose colors were red and yellow. i'm usually a fan of red, but coupled with the yellow, it was no good. kind of reminded me of ketchup and mustard on a hotdog or something...weird!!

our school colors are orange and blue, which i am obviously a big fan of ;) . the girls uniforms are blue with orange accents, but the guys have all orange uniforms which i really like. they stand out a lot more.

i'm also a fan of navy blue and maize (michigan and all other schools that have similar colors)...it just looks good!!

Haha - nothing like a catchup and mustard covered hot dog running around the track.... :P Or even worse, polevaulting.... kind of a funny mental image.

I think Bucknell has some of the sweetest uniform colors - which are orange and dark blue - tiiiiight combo.

I had a friend in high school who used to talk about going there just so she could wear all the school clothes cause of the colors - lol (crazy high school girls) :P jk

Well.... umm... we like to call it Crimson and Gold.... :o Actually, we use to be red and yellow, but when our school got re-modeled, we got new uni's and they were actually crimson and gold. Which is kinda cool. I guess.... basically.... But i think Navy Blue and Gold are sweet colors. A high school here in Washington called Mead has those colors and they are rockin. ( i think they had 3 15' vaulters last year? or close to it)
Just you wait...

And Becca busts out with the forum from 3 years ago... :P
Crazy good memory or good at research???

But yeah, I think the dark blue and white is a pretty tight combo too.

And on another note:
One of the WORST colors ever - Olive Drab Green - thats the color of our PT (physical training) clothes. Terrible.... but hey, atleast our Dress uniforms look good ;)
