yeah, I guess I'm lazy and could ask the local sports/fitness center on base but how does one get into armed forces competition?

Two years ago there was a guy who was stationed at Oak Harbor who would vault in the all-comers meets.

I vaulted for OU '95 - '00, did AFROTC, was stationed at Little Rock AFB for the first two years. Planned on training in Jonesboro after taking a year off of vaulting but...the ops tempo at that base was too much for me to train. Fair warning the needs of the Air Force come first. Got stationed at Hanscom AFB, MA recently. My job here gives me more time. There's not many poles in New England for me to borrow, let alone places to jump.

As far as Armed Services Competition, I'm not too sure if there is an Air Force team whose sole duty is to compete. I know there's an Armed Services Championship this summer that I'm aiming for. The only news article I could find was from 1998 where someone won it with 16'. As for CISM, I think you need to jump either 5.40 or 5.55 to qualify.
