Thats probably just the medias twist to make it sound more interesting. To me looks like he takes good athletes and teaches em to vault. smart guy!

I trained at Suhr sports back in high school and the tequnique within the training used is simmilar to the eastern european style as in Bubka and Tarsov's method.

Congrats to Mary and the rest of the crew at Suhr Sports Team.

I personally think being a former gymnast is more of a hinderance in the long run. They tend to be able to get vaulting sooner than most, but you spend years breaking them of all the good gymnastics habits that are bad habits for vaulting.

Like casting out, pointing toes, poor running mechanics, swinging belly-up, etc...

I was on the Suhr Sports site and they had stats for some of there athlets this is incredible, ive never seen numbers like this before... five and a half feet in one year!!!!
