okay, people from new jersey are called new jerseyans, new york: new yorkers, texas: texans.

i'm wonderin, what do u call people from:

maine
connecticut
massachusetts
delaware
illinois
wyoming
utah
washington

most states just add -ions, -ians, -ans. but i don't think it fits with those states above.

No really.............there is no "name" for people from the land of lincoln. I am originally a HOOSIER and have asked lots of people from Illinois that same question..............with no answer.

Only works for Graduates of the U of I...........for some reason the state as a whole has not adopted it as a title.

I hope you don't take offese....when I grew up in WI we called people from illinois flat landers..

Well.........flat landers is no better or worse than cheese head......and since Jeff (decamouse) seems to feel that cheese head fits Wis.....

yea, thats how i always thought of that. but i met a connecticutter and he said it was "Connecticutians". i like the -cutters better.
