HA!!! Go out on a big day and we'll talk.....surfing is HARD. The actual act of catching a wave isn't too bad, but the paddling part...that is a bear. Try it some time and you will see. :crying:

Actually i've done it a little bit. I'm not great or anything, i'm just saying learning to vault takes so much more.

nah gettin up is the tricky part. if youve ever been on swim team, paddling is a breeze (least i think so). if you have trouble, go grab some training paddles, you could paddle way quick! well this is based off of the week experience ive had with surfing.

I have been surfing for like 6 years and love it. Pole vaulting and surfing are alot alike because they are both very difficult to learn but once you do you never forget how to.

You are right, vaulting is much more technically challenging than surfing. I still hate surfing though.......and I also hate myself for not vaulting :crying:

I don't want any of you fockers moving out here anymore (all of you except Jeb and Daniel). Unless I invite you, stay out of California. Surfing sucks anyway. Quit going to Jan's camp to surf, learn to pole vault and go home. I had a traumatic experience a couple years ago at Maibu (no the waves didn't get big), but three guys paddled their longboards all the way to second peak and said in the worst Texas drawl I've ever heard. . . "Y'all mind if we share yer wayeeves?" I can't handle it any more. Peace. Beam
