Don't Drink and Drive

Not just drinking and driving, but driving under the influence of anything, marajuana imparticular. People don't remember it impairs. I know people who have died to people like that.

Every Fifteen Minutes is a great program they have out in California. I don't know if they have it elsewhere.

the program came to my school and it wuz well done and stuff but it affected nobody. i thought it would be powerful cuz a senior at our school killed his best friend/fellow senior summer before senior year in a reckless driving accident but people didn't seem to feel very affected by the program

we had one of these crash replicas back when, but it was horrially done. The crashed car was real, and they had real firemen, but we were in grand stands where no one could see anything, and they kept putting down huge goddy Xs and Os. After about 2 hours with out anyone explaining anything(mabye shorter) some one finally started talking, but no one could hear them. It was pathetic. i hope things have improved since 98

its because people don't experience losing someone to drunk driving that doesn't affect them very much. if any person lost a loved one to drunk driving, it would have been a much different outcome.

I hate it when people drive when they have been drinking. That is a big reason I don't drink very often, I don't want to worry about how I am going to get back home.

The sad thing is that it is so easy to take half a second and pick a DD for the night, Yellow Cab is a favorite for a lot of the emgineering guys I hang out with. Trust me its better to spend money on a safe ride home then to have your family spend a lot more on your funeral.

being an oldguy, my kids are now young adults. During the time when they first entered high school and started riding in cars with other kids my wife and I told them to never get in a car with an impaired driver. All they had to do was call us up any time day or night and we would come and get them. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. We would rather have be annoyed to get up and get them or their friends than the alternative. Perhaps you youngsters could make similar arrangements with your parents, it wouldn't hurt to ask.
