Hello i am looking for a pit for my highschool. We really need a pit and we are in Texas.
It dosent matter the condition of the pit we just really need one.
I need a pit!!!

Wow. Its a sad statement that you as a student must reach out to the internet community to resolve your dilemma.
Where is your coach and AD on this? What sort of budget are you working with?
Time frame?
I know of a guy in Corsicana who manufactures pits and may have some input. I could get his contact info and post it if you want. Perhaps that may help.
Where are you training now? There are some club coaches in Rowlett and Dallas.
The sad reality may be that your school may not be able to afford a pit.
Hang in there.

No you are not desperately in need of a pit. Your HS has an extremly nice pole vault pit. It is stored for the winter right now but will be out in time for y'all to start practicing. Yes the "2nd" pit that your HS had inside there indoor facility, did not belong to them and the owner took it back after letting your school borrow it for 6years. Please be thankful for where your pole vault program has gotten. When I came in as a freshman I had 1 pole. Now the track program has 30+ poles and one of the nicest outdoor setups in the state.
