For me anything fast, or loud. That would works most of the time, maybe some rage or some old megadeth. But I have just started to Dj and I am going to try listing to hardcore before a meet to see what happens, its pretty fast (160+ bpm).
ahh San Diego: women, sun , beaches, pole vault, what else do you need.

yeah there was one like it a while a go.

I either listen to some good punk (not the kind they play on the radio) or i listen to techno.

I actually don't like to listen to music before competitions- it gets me into to many habits, and I get all superstitous about doing things in order... I know, it's very OCD of me but it's also very true.

Usually, I'll go for just about anything country- if I want to get pumped up I'll listen to rap though :P

definitely punk...the new found glory, blink-182, american pie soundtracks kind...techno's good too, although i don't have too much of that floating around.... pretty much anything fast, upbeat will do it ^_^

Becca!!!! who cares if it's a repeat! this is a repeat I always welcome! hehe

I listen to Rock mainly, and techno (specifically Darude and then some select songs by Dirty Vegas, Paul Oakenfold, Alice Deejay and DJ Sammy)

MAJORLY ROCK, though... Godsmack, Linkin Park, Sevendust, Ra, Averi, Audioslave, Green Day, Aerosmith, Rammstein.

Rock makes me feel all angry at the world. I hate it when you get that one verse you can remember from that song that you like stuck in your head and you just keep repeating it cause that's all you know until it becomes more of a nuisance than it does entertainment. So, yes! I like rap ! YAY FOR ME!
