I went from 9', and no heighting at state one season, to 11'1 and winning state the next season. What did I do to accomplish this? I went to Earl Bell's camp which I would strongly recommend to anyone who hasn't already been- it's so different, and just plain awesome. O yeah, and Lon's out there too... (haha Lon! I win! ). I also started training with Bobby Haeck down in Clermont, Fl! Yay for Coachie! I can attribute a lot of my success to EB, Lon, and Coach Haeck; they teach a different theory, and if the normal way of coaching isn't workin for ya, try theirs... it just might click for ya!

The first meet of my junior year I set a PR of 10'. A year and a few months later I made 16'9. Ate, slept and dreamed pole vault. If my coach told me that I would get better by doing somersaults, I would have done it all day everyday. Yeah, I was obsessed.
Heres the progression of all my PR's

Home dual: 11'0 (1997)

Retain faith that you will prevail in the end, regardless of the difficulties.
