What pole to use
I am currently using a carbon 13'3 155lb pole and just cleared 13'6 at my last meet with a grip of about 12'9 on the pole so i jumped about 3" over my grip. On my attempts at 13' i wasnt even close. I was under at take off so i didnt even really get inverted. We have a fiber glass 14' 140lb pole. Are these two poles about the same as far as resistance or is the 14' about 5lbs stiffer? Should i try out the 14' pole?

Re: What pole to use
The 14'140 should be relatively close, maybe a little stiffer. If you are blowing through the 13'3 pole and you weigh 140 or less, it could be a good pole for you.

Re: What pole to use
I only weigh 130. And i am not blowing through the 13'3 155. I was just considering using the longer pole for my 13' attempts to help for this year. My form is alright considering i jump about 3" over my handgrip. But it wont improve enough this year i dont think to clear 13' without gripping up. So i thought to try it out and c if it would work and then at my sectional meet saturday use my usual pole to clear up to 12'6 and then when i attempt 13' use the 14' 140. Would this be a good plan?
