Help choosing a new pole

Unread postby Nolan » Tue May 10, 2011 12:32 pm

So I am currently on a 14' 145 UCS. I weigh about 135 and I have the standards back between 70-80. If I get a 14'6 145 and I end up having no trouble whatsoever and then very soon being able to use a 15' pole, it would almost be a waste of money. If I start with a 15' 145 and make it, great. If I cant, I can then move down to a 14'6 145 and work my way up to a 15' pole. The reason I am stuck is because I am the only vaulter at my school and if I can avoid spending an extra $300+, then I would like to do so. I figure I can also try gripping down to 14'6 on the 15' and seeing what works.

What do you guys think?

How high are you gripping on the 14'145? How high are you vaulting?

at the top, which is 13'6. And I am clearing 14' in practice but just missed it at states last week. PR is 13'6
