Vertical Jumps Academy fall registration going on now

Vertical Jumps Academy still has training slots available for its fall sessions. In 2010, the Academy produced two Illinois state champions and 15 state qualifiers.

The Academy instructor is Bob Cervenka, a past Illinois state champion and a four-year collegiate letter winner. During Cervenka’s 28 years of coaching the pole vault and high jump, he has produced a World Champion, an Olympic finalist, two World Youth Championship finalists, several USATF/AAU Junior Olympic competitors, as well as IHSA state champions and numerous state qualifiers and finalists.

Academy athletes will be divided into training groups according to ability with a maximum number of 10 per session. The Vertical Jumps Academy takes place at Lincoln-Way North H.S., which has an outstanding indoor track facility for high jump and pole vault instruction.

Training components will include Group Technique; Speed, Agility, & Strength; Core Strength; and Video Analysis.

Weekend Jumpers and other options are available.
