Pole vaulters doing commercials...
Many vaulters have done commercials. Some vaulting, one BoFlexing, etc. Let's see if anyone can put links on here to the commercials for everyone to see. Who has done them? Post links to them if you can.
Russ Buller, BoFlex
Scott Slover, Nike?
Who else.
I've done a few but only have copy of one and it's in on video tape, so I can't post it.

Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill. - Muhammad Ali

LoJo did an adidas commercial a few years back-i think for the Universal's...it was him vaulting in the desert. and about the same time, stacy did one also-during the 2000 olympics i believe-no clue where to find the videos.
The road to the National Championships does not run through the Krispy Kreme.

The best one ever was the Nike commercial, circa '92, that was narrated by William S. Burroughs. He was going on about human limits..."1 second faster, 1 inch higher..." at the "1 inch higher" was a quick collage of Bubka smoking a few bars.
Not only was it one of the few (if not only) Bubka commercials shown stateside, but it was narrated by one of the greatest american writers, who incidently shot his wife in the head (while attempting to shoot a beer can off her head) during a heroin binge in Mexico in the '60s.
A great print ad, was the Nike ad of Bubka with the slogan "Gravity is my only enemy and he never has a bad day." or something to that effect.

Trey, you may not know this but your coach, Kevin Brown, has done some talent work. I don't know if he did any commercials though. He was doing it when he lived and trained in Miami with Maxwell Thompson. KB said he got his start when he went to a shoot with Maxwell and they wanted him too. I think he said it was an underwear ad. I bet their wives and they have had some laughs about that through the years. LOL

I could be wrong too but I think it was "Pole vaulters are sprinters who aren't afraid of heights."

Hawaiian Punch, and a gig w/ 85' Bears quarter back Jim McMahon. (cool as hell until you get his autograph, then a complete prick) I used to be a professional skater throughout the late 90's and travelled with a group of Pro bikers/skateboarders under the name"SUPERHEROS" We were sponsored by Trek, K2, Harbinger, and a few local shops/skateparks. I was only 16 or 17 at the time. Had to give it up due to NCAA violations of accepting money. Haven't skated since i came to college. More injuries than i can count...
Noone besides family and close friends knows about it, and now i guess you guys. I'm sure pvjunkie will call B.S and then i'll have to rip out the old video's. I've kept it low key since college.
Any other past skaters out there??? I know about Hysong. I love going out to Jan's w/ Clay, Justin and the guys. Surfing in the morning (i suck) vaulting in the evening, skating before dinner.
