Raising the Bar Pole Vault symposium
Raising the Bar vault club will be hosting our first annual pole vault symposium on Feb. 26th & 27th. There will be 6 coaches. 3, Dan West, Mark Vanderville, and Rick Bagget have all coached high level collegiate vaulters and elite vaulters. There will be lots of hands on instruction as well as demonstrations. Theere will also be a session on vault safety, not just vaulting safely but safety around the pit. Mike Nease, head vault official a Hayward field will do a question and answer session on competition rules. You will learn pole vault starting from the run to the push off and everything in between. We will have 3 pits set up with room for more depending on early registratons. click on the link below for registration information and facility information.

I recommend this clinic for all the Oregon Pole Vault Coaches. Great staff and the beginning of the program...

If anyone had there entry returned as undeliverable pleas send it again. Apparently there is no mailbox at the facility but now they will forward the mail to a p.o. box. Thanks and hope to see you there

Re: Raising the Bar Pole Vault symposium
We would like to thank all the athletes and coaches who attended our first annual vault symposium this weekend. We had 40 participants. Feel free to add any comments , good or bad, so we can make it even better next year. Thanks again to Rick Baggett for doing a great session on proper run mechanics. the vaulters really liked the speed trap you set up.

Re: Raising the Bar Pole Vault symposium
The coaches at Raising the Bar vault club (Mark Vanderville, Dan Umenhofer, Dan West and Bob Heitstuman) and Rick Baggett did a great job with this symposium. It was fun to see the improvements made by the vaulters over the two days of presentations, drills, practice and coaching. Thanks to everyone that participated.

Re: Raising the Bar Pole Vault symposium
This was a very well-run event, especially considering the fact that it is the first year. Having a chance to learn from some of the best coaches in the Northwest over two days was great, and for only $50 this could be called "the best value" in pole vault education I have ever seen!
I strongly encourage any vaulters and coaches who may have missed this event to make it a priority next year. The hands-on, personal attention each participant received was remarkable. Keep up the good work, RTB
