So, in my sports med class today, my coach talked about the [very-very-very brief] history of pole vault and then said how Sergei Bubka would barely break his record...and my hand shot up and I said the world record and how, with video analyzation, scientists have said he probably could have cleared 6.40m and one of the girls in my class said, "HOW DO YOU KNOW ALL THIS STUFF!?" "...ummm....I pole vault!?" "Still..."
Granted, I get that about a lot of stuff, such as definitions and a variety of other things, but still. [I read the Reader's Digest as a 3rd grader...chapter books in the end of 1st grade...TEENY chapter books, but chapter none-the-less. I read a lot. My brain has a good memory.]
That said, I thought it was kind of funny
