Men from Illinois at USATF Indoor Championships

As of now -- 2/26, over one third (5 of 14)of the declared entries into the USATF Indoor meet are graduates of Illinois high schools.

Good luck to Jacob Pauli (Farmington), Darren Niedermeyer (Conant), Jacob Winder (Plainfield South), Mark Hollis (Freeport), and Mark Zilch (Lake Park)!!!

That is quite a statistic. Five out of Fourteen vaulters from Illinois, makes a huge statement for the support systems that are in place in Illinois for high school, collegiate and post-collgeiate vaulting. Each of these vaulters have extraordinary talent, but have trained extremely hard, and sacrificed much to compete at this level of vaulting. I am happy for each one of these vaulters and proud of the dedication, sacrifice, and tenacity that it takes to continue to improve in the pole vault.
