A lot of DI women hitting auto already (2009 season)

Unread postby rainbowgirl28 » Sun Jan 18, 2009 1:37 am

Six women over auto already, hopefully this is a sign that the college women are going to take it to another level this year!

4.37i Alicia Rue (Minn) Minnesota 01/17/09
4.22i Gabriella Duclos (Ariz) NorAriz 01/17/09
4.21i Natalie Willer (Neb) Nebraska 01/17/09
4.20i Katie Stripling (Ark) Arkansas 01/10/09
4.20i Kylie Hutson (IndSt) Rose-Hulm 01/16/09
4.20i Sonia Grabowska (UtSt) UtSt 01/17/09

4.15i Carrie Kayes (Akron) PVSummit 01/03/09
4.10i Tina Sutej (Ark) Arkansas 01/10/09
4.10i Vera Neuenswander (Ind) Indiana 01/17/09
4.10i Leslie Brost (NDSU) NDSU 01/17/09
4.06i Mary Saxer (NotDam) NotreDame 01/16/09
4.00i Mallory Peck (Purd) Indiana 01/17/09

I know Carrie's mark won't count for qualifying, but it's worth mentioning.

It's still really early in the season. I think this is going to be a big year!

Edited to include the Polish girl at Utah State. Six women over auto already!

Last year only 7 DI women went 4.20 or better, and most of them got their season best mark at NCAAs.

I was at Madison last weekend and she was jumping unattached. The official told me that she is starting to tweak her form this year, so a red shirt is possible

Denise von Eynatten is no longer on the roster for South Florida. Does anyone know if she transferred to another school or went back to Germany?
